HOW DOES LIGHT TRAVEL
One of the great mysteries of the world in which we live,is light.we still do not know exactly what it is. It can only be described in terms of what it does.
We know light is a form of energy. Like some other forms of energy-heat,radio waves and xrays- the speed, frequency and length of its waves can be measured.we know the speed of light.it travels about 186,000 miles per second. This means that in a year, a beam of light travel 5,880,000,000,000 miles. That is the distance which astronomers call a “light year”, and it’s the unit used to measure distances in outer space.
In trying to understand what light is and how it travels, many theories have been developed. In the seventeenth century, Sir Isaac Newton said that light must be made up of “corpusules”, somewhat like tiny bullets shot from light source. But this corpusular theory of light couldn’t explain many of the ways in which light behaves.
At about the same time, a man named Christian Huygens developed a “wave theory” of light. His idea was a luminous particle started pulses, or waves, much as a pebble dropped into a pool make waves.
Wether light is waves or corpusules was argued for nearly 150 years.Gradually,as certain effects of light became known , the idea of light corpusules died out.Scientists now believe that light behaves both as particle and as waves. Experiments can show either idea to be true.So we simply cannot give a complete answer to “What is Light?”.

Functions of the skeletal system
- They form the body frame.
- They protect the vital organs like the brain, spinal cord, heart and lungs.
- They support the body
- It allows movement as the muscles attached by tendons, use by the bones as a lever.
- It is a place for the body to store fat and minerals.
- This is a main part of the body that makes most new blood cells.

- HOW DOES A VOLCANO FORM?In February, 1943, in the middle of a cornfield in Mexico, people saw a rare and amazing thing taking place. A volcano was being born! In three months it had formed about 1,000 feet high. Two towns were destroyed and a wide area damaged by the falling ash and cinders. What makes a volcano form?… Read more: HOW DOES A VOLCANO FORM?
- HOW SOIL IS FORMEDSoil is formed from the gradual breakdown of rock called the bedrock or parent material. The process is known as weathering . DEFINITION OF WEATHERING Weathering is the gradual breakdown of rocks into smaller and smaller particles by agents such as water, temperature, oxygen, wind and roots of plants. TYPES OF WEATHERING Physical weathering. Chemical weathering. Biological weathering.… Read more: HOW SOIL IS FORMED

VIRUSES
A virus are so small that can pass the finest filters.they cannot be in sugar solution, but will grow and multiply in the presence of living tissue. This is a parasite that depend completely on their host.viruses are too small to be seen by ordinary microscope-they have to be photographed through electron microscope.viruses cause many disease which affects the skin, example are; chickenpox, smallpox, measles,German measles and fever blisters. Other virus cause disease of the nerve tissue such as rabies, brain feverand infantile paralysis.
